This is the time

There is a time. This is the time.

We have been blessed to be able to share our family’s life with you for the past 3 1/2 years. We started this blog the summer of 2005. It was created mainly for family and friends. In the Spring of 2006, the triplets entered the picture! Before we knew it, this was a HIGH TRAFFIC blog. You have laughed with us and cried with us. We have made a lot of friends through this blog. It has been amazing.

But this chapter of our life is ending in 2 weeks. March 31, 2009 will be our final post for Hummel Land, USA.

This blog has run its course and served its purpose. It has served as therapy and a sounding board. It was our chance to share the hope Christ gave us. That opportunity has been priceless. For that, we want to say “Thanks.” Thanks for listening to us as we went though so many ups and downs.

As the days of March slips by we would love to hear from you. We have heard from some of you, but there are some of you whose voice we have never heard. We would love to hear your story. We have created a special email account for this purpose only. So, feel free to email us there. Email us at hummelfive@gmail.com

Oh No!!! I am truly disappointed to hear that my favorite blog will be ending, but completely understand. I have enjoyed hearing your stories and watching your beautiful family grow. It was nice in these rough times to get a glimpse into the world of such a wonderful and happy family. Thank you for keeping it up as long as you have. I hope you will still post every once in a while with updates and cute pictures. Take care of yourselves.

I'm very sad to hear about this. It doesn't make sense to me, but I'm sure you have your reasons :)

I hope that you'll find the time every once in a while to update. I feel like my nieces and nephew is (are??) moving away.

:( Every Tuesday afternoon while the kids are napping I read your blog. That is sad, but you have to do what is best for you and your family. Maybe one day we will meet, since we aren't that far from each other. Please keep in touch. Do you have Facebook or something like that? I have facebook. Take care and enjoy the sunshine today :) May God bless you and your family.

Maybe due to our sadness in seeing you go;-(, our interest, and some cheering and encouragement from all of us, you will find the strength to keep blogging!!! "Hummels-Hummels-please don't go.....our love and encouragement we will show...as your children grow, grow, grow!!!" OK...maybe I've had too much coffee today :-)! You will be missed. Good luck and love to your beautiful family!

I have loved the opportunity to have a window on your world -- watching your kiddos grow, seeing your amazing photos, hearing your funny stories, knowing better how to pray for you all. The distance between us seemed not so far with your posts. I can almost hear Maylee singing, or Caislyn say "fish" perfectly, or Jakobi softly whisper "Amen." Your story is beautiful not just because of what happened 2 1/2 years ago, it is beautiful because we continue to see God work in you and your children. It may seem ordinary to you sometimes, but to me (and probably others) the joy your family brings is definitely a highlight of my week. I have loved every post, but I love you more!
Thank you for sharing your lives with us!

Vermont is sad to see you go. When next we travel to Ohio (this summer) maybe we could a have huge play date or something fun for our growing kiddos. I'm going to miss reading about your adventures.

Instead of blogging every week, how about just monthly or when the spirit moves? I follow a number of blogs who do this....it doesn't have to be every week (I can see where that would get a bit much to handle)...just a few pictures now and then with a note that all is well in Hummel Land! Have loved reading about your little family!
