Dear Caislyn

Dear Caislyn~
Wow, you are growing up on me! You are doing more and more "Big" girl things. I am always amazed by your creativity. I especially love these chalk creations! I love these pictures...Grandma Hummel tracing your body and then you designing "Caislyn". I also like the picture of the pie, you even spelled "PIE" into the picture. I didn't realize you could draw a dog, until I saw this one.

I love the way you feel for others as they are hurting physically. You want to help them and find ways to encourage them, usually through a card you have created. I love to hear you sing, you sing with a lot of soul. I especially love to hear you sing praise and worship...you look like a sweet little angel!

I've learned so much just by watching you live your life. You've challenged me in ways you will probably never know. I love you!

Does she always write backwards?

She does! Should I be concerned?

These posts are so cute, what a great idea!

I wouldn't worry about her writing backwards yet. She is still learning, Kylie sometimes writes a letter or to backwards still, and when she runs out of room to write something she writes it above where it should go starting on the right moving to the left. They just haven't learned all of this yet. I think her printing is very good for her age too! I'd just let her be young and not worry about it.

A friend of mine's son did that. He's in first grade now and he does totally fine. I think it's just the way their brain processes stuff.
My girls initially wrote their letters backwards, but not mirror, like Caislyn does. She'll eventually learn.
I actually thought you took those pictures and reversed them upon posting.

I don't think I'd be too concerned, but I would start helping her understand that the letters are to be written in the other direction. It will make it easier for her to start making the correction now, before she heads off for school in the next year.
