Mommy Time Away

This past weekend I enjoyed my Valentine's gift from my hubby. Yes, I said Valentine's Day gift! On Feb 14th, my hubby gave me a stack of colorful notecards, each card read one word, the whole stack contained a message. To sum up its contents, the message said that I would be attending the Women Of Faith Conference in Columbus Ohio (April 25-26). It also stated that the hotel was already paid for, the tickets were on their way, a good friend would be going along with me and he would take a vacation day for that particular Friday to bewith our kiddos. My hubby was so thoughtful to do this for me.

I had an incredible time. I learned so much about myself too. Its always a beautiful picture when you gather up a huge crowd of women and sing praises to our Father in Heaven!! Patsy Clarmont was my favorite speaker of the weekend. She spoke about emotions! Wow, what a topic to explore. She was so funny as she helped us all learn how to deal with our emotions. She has a book out called, "I Second that Emotion". I know I will be reading this book in the near future. I was stoked to see my favorite singer Natalie Grant perform!!!!! We had incredible seats on the floor too. We also heard Sandi Patty and Nicole C Mullen. They were all incredible. It was just an amazing time. My friend and I also made time for some shopping and treated ourselves to The Cheesecake Factory. It was just a nice time to get away. THANKS HONNY!!!

I will post an update on the kiddos later on tonight. Hopefully I can get it posted a little earlier this week! ;)

I had a nightmare once that Stephen and my brother were both pinning me down and tickling me. I was flailing my arms and legs in the dream and, apparently, in real life. Poor Stephen was startled out of his sleep by a HARD kick to the shins with my heel. Needless to say, he hasn't done a whole lot of tickling since. :)
